Google Deepmind says, AI will become way smarter than Human knowledge

Hey 👋 , Friday is a wonderful day, isn’t it? All the work throughout the week just for the 2 days of relaxation. Did you know that a team of astronomers has claimed to have detected alien life 124 light years away from Earth? Yes, using the James Webb Space Telescope, they’ve identified a biosignature on an exoplanet called K2-12b, which was already suspected to be an ocean world.

A biosignature is a molecule called dimethyl sulfide. On Earth, it’s produced by phytoplankton and other microbes. However, it cannot be said clearly that only biological processes produce dimethyl sulfide. A study published this February says it has detected dimethyl sulfide in the Interstellar medium, the clouds of gas and dust found in space between stars. Read More

AI is now smarter than any Human, says Google’s DeepMind unit

AI chatbots and integrating them in various applications are revolutionizing the software industry, which is responsible for many job losses, and are also bringing extreme efficiency in business with a fraction of the costs. Now, AI is going through another evolution towards AI Agents. AI agents are nothing but a combination of multiple AI bots that are specific to certain tasks. All these can be done for free, and you will be able to run it locally without internet, given that the PC is powerful enough. A new approach in AI agents called ‘streams’ is being developed, which enables AI models to learn from their experience without any human judgment or review. Read More

A Secret Gambling syndicate won $95 million Texas lottery

In 2023, Texas allowed online lottery ticket vendors to open shops to print tickets for their customers. Marantelli put together a team that included famed Tashmanian gambler Zeljko Ranogajec (aka John Wilson). They flew to Texas and established four makeshift ticket-printing hubs, including a warehouse and a defunct dentist’s office. They acquired lottery terminals from Lottery.com and printed non-stop for three days.

The team had converted each number combination into a QR code, which they used to scan into terminals by crew members. They printed over 100 tickets per second to purchase 99.3% of every possible combination of the six numbers from 1 to 54. One of the tickets won the jackpot. After taking a payout of $57.8 million, they walked away with around $20 million in profit. Lottery.com executive Greg Potts wrote, “This is a huge win for the company,” highlighting that the firm would make a profit of nearly $264,000 on its sales commissions. That’s some real smartness out there, isn’t it? Read More
