A Robotic Startup shared its ‘most anatomically accurate android in the world’, says it flexes its 1000 muscles

Clone Robotics, a robotic startup has shared footage of their most anatomically accurate robot and the video shows it flexes its 1000 muscles. There have been other companies like Tesla working on Optimus bot or Unitree Robotics performing awesome kung fu moves. “Protoclone, the world’s first bipedal, musculoskeletal android“, the company said on X.

Protoclone frails its legs, hands, and fingers. The company says its robot has 200 degrees of freedom, 500 sensors, and 1000 myofibers. That’s why it can mimic lifelike muscles as in the clip. Along with muscles, the robot has a ‘skeletal system‘ with 206 ‘bones’ to match the human body and a ‘nervous system’ made up of cameras and pressure sensors that allow the bot to ‘see‘ and ‘feel‘.
